E01: Changing the Narrative of Homemaking with Kendra Hennessy
Somewhere along the way, the term, “Homemaking” has gotten a little bit of a negative connotation. But really, homemaking is just what it says it is: making a home. We all do it and there’s nothing negative about it. As Kendra says, “Homemaking is about cultivating a home that feels inspired, that feels safe, that feels like the warmest place in the world to you and your family, perfection not needed.”
Kendra Hennessy is a home management expert and positive motherhood enthusiast. She is a podcast host and founder of Mother like a Boss, where she puts a fresh, modern twist on homemaking so that moms feel confident managing their homes and families no matter where they are in their motherhood journey. Her mission is to empower moms through no-nonsense, realistic and simplistic changes that they can stick with.
Kendra lives in upstate NY with her husband Adam and their two spunky kiddos, Ava and Everett. She is a Girl Scout co-leader, a coffee junkie and can usually be found in her off time binge watching The Office. She loves giving support and encouragement to the moms of the world and giving them the confidence they need to enjoy life as a mother.
